How have your political views changed over time?
I am 40 years old and have never been interested in politics. Somehow this topic has never touched me. And today I also think that everyone should mind their own business. A shoemaker sews boots, a tailor makes clothes, a cook cooks food, and a manager manages.
Often around me I hear assessments of the actions of politicians. I would like to say, “How do you know anything? You see only the result, only the tip of the iceberg. But you don’t know the whole body of the iceberg and what led to this decision.”
I spent most of my working life as a manager. The boss and the subordinate live in different information fields. Sometimes you find yourself at a moment when my workers are discussing the affairs of the company. So you will hear such strong misconceptions there. I tried to explain something why this was so, and why it wasn’t. Because not everything can be known to everyone. It was a great experience for me and I realized that I also cannot judge someone who is higher than me.
Christianity teaches us: “Judge not, and you will not be judged. With whatever judgment you judge, you yourself will be judged.” And God also appoints a ruler to each people according to his merits. And our little job is to endure, conscientiously do our job and pray that God will give wisdom to our leaders.
